Within the framework of BORGES, ESR7 will perform calibrated complex impedance measurements of bio-organic electrical interfaces at nanoscale and GHz frequencies. The ESR7 research will contribute to the development and optimization of various measurement systems and corresponding electrical engineering tasks, both on the hardware and software level. The electrical measurement challenges are at various frequencies and tied to different electrical measurement hardware and applied to sensor applications. The final goal is to study the impedance of bio-organic interfaces, such as Au gate electrodes and modified semiconductors, at the nanoscale and at the single molecule level with a recently developed GHz-Atomic Force Microscope.
