Deniz was born in Montréal, Canada. She received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in
Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from Technical
University of Munich (TUM). For her Bachelor thesis, she did develop an
oxygen control unit for investigation of tumor cell metabolism under
hypoxic conditions. During her master studies, she became interested in
Nanotechnology. She wrote her master thesis in Nanoelectronics
Department in TUM. Her master thesis was to fabricate and characterise
fully printed gas sensors on flexible substrates such as Kapton. She
also investigated the effect of different nanoparticles for
functionalization of gas sensors to increase sensitivity and
selectivity.

In November 2019, she joined Scriba Nanotechnologie as a PhD Candidate
in the framework of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action “BORGES”. Her research
will be on the design, fabrication and the integration of microfluidic
channels with organic electronics for biosensing.
