Within the framework of BORGES, ESR13 will perform research aimed at the fabrication and demonstration of an electronic biosensor for the quantification of biomarkers associated with onset and prognosis of multiple sclerosis in biological fluids, with a particular focus on neurofilaments and DAMPs. The biosensors will be based on organic electronic devices with EGOT (Electrolyte Gated Organic Transistor) architecture.
